Café-Interior-Design Berlin

Café-Interior-Design Berlin

A good café does three things at once: it reads clearly at the door, it runs smoothly at peak, and it ages beautifully. That’s the lens we bring to every hospitality project—refined on real work like our campus café commission—then tailored to the site, menu, and audience in front of us.

Flow first, then finish

Before colours or chairs, we map how guests arrive, order, and find a seat. The counter becomes a clear anchor, visible from the entrance; circulation is generous so staff and guests don’t clash; pick-up for take-away is separated from dine-in. When the plan “steers” people naturally, service stress drops and the room feels calm—even when it’s busy.

Seating that fits different visits

Not everyone stays the same amount of time, so we blend quick perches, comfortable two-tops, and longer-stay banquettes, plus one table that can flip from laptop work to a small event. It keeps capacity up without the space feeling crowded. We also ensure a few layouts meet accessibility needs—comfort reads as quality for everyone.

High quality materials, for high use

Cafés work hard. We specify tactile, matte finishes that clean easily and improve with use: oiled timber, linoleum or stone underfoot, and mineral or lime plaster on walls. Upholstery choices do double duty—soft to the touch and helpful for acoustics. The result is a room that feels warm on day one and still looks composed after thousands of covers.

Light and acoustics set the mood

We layer light for the rhythm of the day: an even ambient base, glare-free task light at the counter, and soft accents over seating. High colour rendering keeps coffee and food looking true in person and on camera. For sound, we balance absorptive elements with lively surfaces so conversations stay clear without the room going flat.

Brand without noise

Identity comes through restraint. A neutral base—mineral whites, sand tones, wood—paired with one confident brand colour and consistent typography on menus and micro-wayfinding. The space photographs consistently, staff can update information easily, and guests recognise the brand without being shouted at.

Designed for daily life

Operations shape the details: sensible storage near where it’s used, protected corners, cable management, easy-to-wipe junctions, and furniture that resets fast between dayparts. We hand over a simple care note so cleaning teams know exactly what to use—and what not to.

What you get with Atelier Anjora

We guide the project from first idea to handover: concept and zoning, material and lighting intent, technical drawings, FF&E specification, and on-site reviews. Our approach is practical as well as aesthetic—so the café looks composed and works under pressure.
